Hello, I'm John Pepper. I spent a 39-year career at Procter & Gamble where I served in various roles as President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman from 1986-2003. I served as Chairman of the Board of the Walt Disney Company from January 2007 to March 2012.
In addition, I was on the Yale Corporation for nine years and served there for two years as Vice President of Finance and Administration. Today, I am Co-Chairman of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.
I have written two books: "What Really Matters" and "Russian Tide" which tells the story of P&G people and their partners building a leadership business in the midst of unprecedented change.
I undertook this blog in order to share lessons and learnings from my business career and, more generally, from life. I have four children – John, Douglas, David and Susie; five grandchildren; and two daughters-in-law and one son-in-law. I am married to Francie who, as I’ve said so often, “made everything possible.”
