The Law of the Jungle is Coming to Haunt Us--All of Us

Under the Trump Administration--and under Putin's and Netanyahu's--we have seen the deadly recreation of the "law of the jungle". The professed and encacted belief that "might makes right" has never been more evident in my lifetime than at this moment. While a realistic recognition of the importance of "power" must guide foreign policy and domestic policy as well, its pursuit untrammeled by the creation and observance of civil laws and codes of conduct respecting the values of intergrity and recognition of the rights of others is bringing lasting damage to our Nation and the World. I hope and pray leadership will emerge to turn this back by decisively.
